Associate News Producer - Entry Level

We are currently have an opening for an Associate News Producer to assist with editing & preparing K-LOVE and Air 1 branded news & public affairs assignments in a timely, fresh & professional manner.  In addition, this position performs Newsroom administration to include, but not limited to, administration of News pages on respective websites and completion of other Newsroom assignments.

Shift Hours:

Overnight - 7pm - 4am, Sunday - Thursday

Required Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience desired
• 0 – 3+ years related experience in the Broadcast News Industry and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated ability to creatively write and deliver on-air self generated copy for public affairs programming and news segments.
• Demonstrated ability to research public affairs assignment topics, conduct interviews, and assemble into program segments.
• Demonstrated flexibility and ability to keep pace in an ever changing news environment.
• Strong computer skills; and other desktop audio editors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build trust and value others; communicate effectively; focus on the listener; and collaborate with others.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems creatively.
• High level of integrity.

Broadcast Engineer I/II

Our Engineering Department has an immediate opening for a Broadcast Engineer to work in our Rocklin, CA headquarters. This position provides broadcast technical and engineering support and design for EMF and its broadcasting affiliates.

Job Description:

• Install, maintain, & repair broadcast equipment.
• Perform installation & maintenance to microwave & satellite equipment.
• Repair equipment to the module level.
• Ensure that all equipment within area of responsibility is operating safely & legally.
• Repair equipment to the module level.
• Participate in on-call rotation, being responsible for repairs or arranging for repairs needed during an on-call period.
• Act as Chief Operator/Engineer for 1 or more broadcast station(s).
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in a medium/large market radio engineering role.
• Associates degree or equivalent in electronics, communication or related field.
• SBE Certification highly desirable.
• 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing failures in broadcast equipment to the component level.
• Thorough understanding of the components necessary to broadcast air-chain.
• Experience with VSAT satellite technology preferred.
• Possess understanding of radio frequency emission theory & application.
• User-level knowledge of MS Office.
• Good written & verbal communication skills

Donation Processing Clerk

We have an immediate opening for a Donation Processing Clerk to work at our Rocklin, CA headquarters.

Shift Hours:

M-F 7am – 3:30pm

Required Skills / Experience:

• Qualified applicants should have prior administrative experience, data entry experience a plus.
• Able utilize a 10 Key (8,000+ kph), and have solid computer skills (MS Office: Excel,  Word & Outlook)
• Must be detail oriented
• A great attitude and interpersonal skill are very important!
• A 10 Key test and typing test will be required in order to be considered for this position.

Donor Relations Officer - Phoenix, AZ

We currently have an opening for a Donor Relations Officer (DRO) to work in the Phoenix, AZ area. The Donor Relations Officer (DRO) is responsible for managing between 75 and 100+ names of current donors in a defined geographic region who are already giving a minimum of $5,000 in a calendar year. The DRO is expected to minister to the needs of the donors and identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward these very important ministry partners for EMF Broadcasting.

Qualified candidates will have the following experience:

• Qualified candidates should have a degree along with 3-5 years of successful experience in major gift fundraising
• Demonstrated ability to understand the needs and interests of major gift donors in order to develop relationships between them and EMF
• Demonstrated and sincere interest in all aspects of EMF’s ministry and a dedication to promoting the fundraising priorities through developing excellent relationships with others throughout the organization
• Demonstrated leadership and the ability to successfully manage multi-functional or diverse areas
• Successful experience in developing in depth cultivation and solicitation strategies
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated record of completing assignments.
• Must be willing to travel an average of 10 days per month (approx 25 - 50%)

KLOVE Morning Show Producer - Northern Texas

The K-LOVE Morning Show Producer works with the Morning Show team to do daily show preparation, creates content that helps deliver a well targeted morning show while building the Morning Show listening audience. Maintaining an organized and productive environment. This position is located in northern TX (north of Dallas/ Ft. Worth).

Duties are diverse, and may include, but not be limited to, preparing the studio for the show, researching possible show material, booking artists, making travel arrangements, maintaining studio equipment, technical setup and troubleshooting. coordinating remotes, etc.  Qualified candidates will be highly skilled in computer & audio technology, have excellent verbal & written communication skills.  This position requires a self motivated, multi-tasking, technically skilled, people-oriented person with experience in many areas.

Part-Time Receptionist

EMF Broadcasting (K-LOVE and Air1 Radio Networks) has an immediate need for a Part Time Receptionist for our Rocklin, CA headquarters.

We are looking for positive, outgoing people with a heart for ministry to interact with our listeners, provide excellent customer service, and perform activities geared toward strengthening the relationship between EMF and our listeners.  Willing to assist other departments with additional special projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned.  Willing to work flexible hours including holidays & weekends.

Shift Hours: 

Thurs & Fri 9am - 5:30pm, and Sat & Sun 6am-2:30pm

Required Experience:

• Prior experience answering multi-line telephone systems and working in a medium to fast paced call environment. 
• Microsoft Office and Internet experience background a must. 
• This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Respond to incoming calls promptly and in a  professional yet welcoming manner.
• Provide accurate information or route call appropriately.

Reception Assistant Supervisor

We are currently recruiting for a Reception Assistant Supervisor. This position assists in maintaining a cohesive employee relations for staff of 15 full and part time employees.   This position is also responsible for assuring scheduling needs are met 24/7, including holidays.  This position is also responsible for overseeing the distribution of special projects and ensuring completion by the requested deadline.  Responsible for maintaining compliance with performance standards.  This includes assisting Supervisor in employee performance reviews.  Must be willing to work flexible hours including holidays and/or weekends.

Shift Schedule: 

12noon - 9pm M-F, and flexible as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• 1-2 years prior experience in a supervisory role of over 5 employees.
• Hands-on experience as Receptionist answering a multi-line phone system in a medium to high volume call environment.
• Requires strong customer service background.
• Requires strong written and verbal interpersonal skills to maintain a high standard of communication with other departments and management team.
• Strong organizational, team building and customer service background.
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel & Outlook.
• Willing to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends.
• Ability to work extra hours as needed.

Job Duties:

Answering incoming calls for EMF, K-LOVE & Air1. Listening to callers and determining the appropriate way to assist them. Assisting with special projects as needed.

Regional Manager - Syracuse, NY

We currently have an immediate opening for a Regional Manager to work in the Syracuse, NY area. This position is responsible for marketing, promotions, operations and donor relations for the New York EMF properties (K-LOVE & Air 1 radio networks).

• Qualified candidates should have a degree and/or equivalent experience in sales & marketing, promotions, broadcasting  or related fields.

The primary responsibility of this regionally-based position is the oversight of an assigned territory. A Regional Manager will primarily handle Operations/FCC duties, marketing, promotions and donor relations on a local level for EMF. Regional Staff, assigned geographically, will report directly to the designated Senior Regional Manager for their part of the country. 25% travel is required.

We are currently recruiting for a Regional News Anchor/Reporter/Producer to work out of our Lakewood, CO office. This position serves as a news department representative for EMF within that region.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in both writing & on-air delivery.
• Prior experience as a news anchor or reporter.
• Strong emphasis on the ability to write & deliver with creativity & clarity.
• MUST possess strong research & interview techniques.
• Able to work independently.
• Ability to uphold and support EMF's Mission Statement, Statement of Faith and Standards of Conduct.
• Candidates will also be screened on possessing the appropriate KLOVE sound.
• Candidates currently residing in the Denver/Lakewood area are preferred.

• The shift involves handling morning drive.  5am - 1pm
• Handle:60 morning weather and traffic updates within our KLOVE morning network programming.
• Work closely with EMF News Director & Public Affairs Director in completing weekly public affairs programming segments.
• Assist News Department in covering any major emergency type situation that may occur within the region.
